U.S. authorities have announced new travel rules that will take effect from the 8th of next month.

Vaccination standards have been significantly strengthened, requiring adults 18 years of age and older to enter the United States two weeks after they have been vaccinated.

Recognized vaccines include vaccines approved by US authorities such as Pfizer, Moderna, and Janssen, as well as vaccines approved by the World Health Organization (WHO), such as AstraZeneca and Sinopharm.

While refining vaccine regulations, the US authorities also made exceptions.

First, adolescents and children under the age of 18 or those who have not been vaccinated due to medical problems are excluded from this criterion.

In addition, citizens of over 50 vaccine-deficient countries, where the adult vaccination rate is less than 10%, decided to make an exception only for non-tourist entry.

If an ordinary adult who has not been vaccinated intends to enter the United States, he/she must submit the negative corona certificate received the day before and the specific reason for entering the United States.

[Ned Price / U.S. State Department Spokesperson: If an adult who can travel to the United States has not yet been vaccinated, they must submit a negative corona certificate issued the day before.

Those who have been vaccinated will need a negative confirmation certificate issued three days ago as before.] According to

the new US guidelines, if you want to enter the United States from Korea, you will need an additional certificate of completion of vaccination in addition to the existing negative certificate.
