“Over the past day, on October 20, 19 forest fires on an area of 678 hectares have been liquidated in Russia by forest fire forces,” RIA Novosti reports.
It is noted that by midnight Thursday, October 21, 22 forest fires were active in Russia on an area of 1885 hectares.
The largest area of fires was recorded in the Kurgan region - 992 hectares.
Earlier, the Russian Emergencies Ministry said that the situation with natural fires and floods is stabilizing.
