Two Asians died and a third was injured in a traffic accident between three trucks, at dawn yesterday, along Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Street in the Hamriya Comprehensive Police Station area of ​​​​Sharjah. The head of the Hamriya Comprehensive Police Station, Colonel Ali Al Jallaf, stated that the Operations Room of the Sharjah Police received a report at exactly three o'clock yesterday morning, stating that there had been a consecutive collision between three trucks on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road.

He added that as soon as the report was received, all the police forces with jurisdiction, and the national ambulance, immediately moved, as it was found that two people of Asian nationality died, and a third person was seriously injured, after which he was transferred to the hospital to receive the necessary treatment.

Inspection and planning of the accident were carried out, a report of the incident was edited, trucks were removed from the road and traffic was restored to normal.

The head of the Hamriya Police Station attributed the cause of the accident, after the initial inspection and planning, to the lack of attention and preoccupation with other than the road while driving, stressing that traffic safety on the road is a joint responsibility that can only be achieved through drivers’ commitment to the established traffic laws and regulations, as a safe way to achieve road security and maintain road safety.
