Wrong-way driver causes accident – at least three dead. A driver crossed into the opposite lane of a federal highway near Cloppenburg and collided with two cars.
Three people died and four others were critically injured. According to the police, it is not yet clear why the 40-year-old ended up in the oncoming lane. The B72 was closed in both directions at the accident site until one o'clock on Sunday night. One of the gawkers insulted a firefighter and an investigation was initiated.
