- The project has been going on since 2006. That was when the pole row was found.

We hope to get more precise dates of the monument this time, says Sara Hagström Yamamoto, curator of the city of Västerås.

It is the same research team that was here in 2017 and 2018 that is now coming back.

One of the archaeologists is Alexandra Sanmark, professor of medieval archeology at the University of the Highlands and Islands in Scotland.

- This is the third time we are just looking at the post holes.

We've had different dates here before.

From the 300s to the 13s.

Now we have selected a few poles to hopefully get a little better material to time, says Alexandra Sanmark.
