On October 8, local time, the results of the call for names were announced. It was decided to name them "Xiaoxiao" and "Leilei" respectively, and they are scheduled to be publicly unveiled in January 2022.

  According to reports, Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike held a press conference to announce that out of more than 190,000 names submitted by the public, he decided to name the male baby of the giant panda twins "Xiaoxiao" and the female baby "Leilei".

  At present, the twins are growing smoothly, weighing more than 6 kilograms, and their movements are becoming more and more lively.

The Ueno Zoo is planned to make the twins and their mother "True True" publicly unveiled in January 2022.

  The giant panda "Zhenzhen" at Ueno Zoo gave birth to twin babies on June 23. It was the first time that twin giant pandas were born at Ueno Zoo. The park held an open call for the naming of the twins until August 20. Received 192,712 responses within 2 weeks.
