The radical Taliban * announced the composition of the new government of Afghanistan.

This was announced by the official representative of the movement Zabiullah Mujahid.

Mullah Mohammad Hasan Akhund will become the acting prime minister of Afghanistan.

Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar has been appointed deputy head of the republic’s cabinet of ministers.

The post of the country's defense minister was taken by the son of the founder of the Taliban, Muhammad Yakub Mujahid.

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be the son of the founder of the "Haqqani Network" Sirajuddin Haqqani, the Minister of Culture and Information - Zabiullah Mujahid, and the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Mullah Amir Khan Muttaki.

Abdul Haq Wasik has been appointed Afghanistan's Minister of Intelligence.

Earlier, Taliban spokesman Ahmadullah Muttaki said that for the first time in 40 years, Afghanistan will be fully subordinate to a government formed from representatives of the Taliban.

On August 31, the movement completed negotiations on the formation of a government of the republic.

The day before, the Taliban announced that the war in Afghanistan was over.

According to the representative of the Zabiullah Mujahid movement, military actions in the republic can be considered complete, since the Taliban have established full control over the Panjshir province that had not previously been subordinated to them.

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the situation in Afghanistan, said that Moscow has not yet taken any decisions on the recognition of the Taliban.

According to him, the Russian side intends to assess to what extent the statements of the Taliban will correlate with real actions.

“You know that so far no decisions have been made to recognize the Taliban.

In addition, you also know that, indeed, we are very closely monitoring everything that happens there.

And most importantly, we are still trying to understand how the Taliban's promises and statements will correlate with their future actions, ”he said.

Peskov stressed that it is important for Russia to understand how the political system in Kabul will look like under the Taliban "both in the systemic and in the personal sense."

Zamir Kabulov, the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Afghanistan, director of the Second Asian Department of the Foreign Ministry, said that Russia has officially received an invitation to the ceremony of announcing the composition of the new government of Afghanistan.

Russian Ambassador to Kabul Dmitry Zhirnov will be present there.

The diplomat noted that he does not have information on when the ceremony will take place.

In turn, Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko said that the situation in Afghanistan is currently a "grave humanitarian catastrophe" and called on the world community to minimize its consequences.

“The entire world community, especially those countries that have done this, must first of all now think about what kind of humanitarian aid, support to provide to people, how to save people, women, children, and so on,” Matvienko said.

At the same time, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu called on the world community not to rush to recognize the Taliban authorities in Afghanistan.

He stated that the new government of the republic should be inclusive, and women and representatives of ethnic minorities should get posts in it.

Cavusoglu also said that Turkey continues negotiations with the Taliban on the resumption of the Kabul airport, where Turkish diplomats are still staying.

White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki also said that the United States will not rush to decide on the possibility of recognizing the Taliban.

“The world community, including the United States, will watch whether they will allow American citizens and citizens of other countries to leave Afghanistan, whether they will allow people who want to leave the country to leave, whether they will allow the delivery of humanitarian aid, how they will treat women and girls in the country, ”she said.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken noted during a press conference in Qatar that Washington continues to ensure that the Taliban, as promised, freely release citizens with documents from Afghanistan.

“We will continue to deal - and we are doing it right now, while we are here - with the issue of getting people out of Afghanistan.

In the past few hours, we directly again repeated to the Taliban that we are waiting for their promises to leave the country free of people with documents issued for this, ”he said.
