P4 Sörmland was the first to tell about the matter, which the Environment and Public Works Committee in Oxelösund would have taken a position on at this week's meeting - but which was postponed.

It was during a visit to the property last summer that inspectors from Oxelösund municipality discovered that construction had begun, despite the fact that no start notice had been granted.

One year later, in May 2021, the inspectors found that buildings had been taken into use and that the man had registered at the address despite not having received a final decision.

Believes that another municipality approved

The inspectors also found that trees had been felled without a permit, both on their own plot and on the adjacent municipal land.

The official has in a statement claimed that he has both an approved start notice and an approved move-in after the final inspection - but of Nyköping municipality which he states has been an administrator during the process.

According to the inspection report from Oxelösund municipality, however, Nyköping municipality does not have a delegation that gives them the right to make decisions for the environmental and community building committee in the neighboring municipality.

Decisions were postponed

This week, it was thought that the Environment and Public Works Committee in Oxelösund would decide that the official should pay a sanction fee of SEK 190,000.

But the case was postponed because the head of administration wants to take a closer look at it.

SVT Nyheter Sörmland has sought the official in question and the head of administration Nils Erik Selin.

The mayor Johan Persson has declined to comment, referring to the fact that the matter has not been decided yet.
