"According to the investigation, on August 6, 2021 in Penza, during the wedding celebration, several people consumed alcohol-containing products purchased by one of the organizers of the holiday not in official retail outlets," the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the region said in a statement.
Subsequently, two men and one woman died within two days of the event, and two more women were hospitalized.
Specialists carry out a complex of investigative actions aimed at establishing the origin of alcohol and identifying persons involved in the crime.
Earlier, the investigation department for Volgodonsk opened a criminal case on the fact of poisoning the children of one of the out-of-town recreation centers in the city.
