“Submariners of the Northern Fleet have started a special exercise to test the systems and weapons of submarines in the deep-water areas of the Barents and Norwegian Seas.
The event is attended by the crews of several submarines, including the fourth generation, "- RIA Novosti reports the message of the Northern Fleet of Russia.
It is noted that the tests are being carried out at depths that are extreme for most modern submarines - more than 500 meters.
Earlier it was reported that the newest diesel-electric submarine "Magadan" went to sea trials in the Baltic Sea.
