NATO naval exercise Sea Shield 24 begins in Romania. 12 NATO member states and their partners are taking part in the exercises.
At the same time, more than 2.2 thousand military personnel and 135 units of military equipment are involved in the maneuvers conducted by the Romanian Naval Forces. The countries are going to practice operational procedures against submarines, on the water surface and against aviation in the Black Sea and in the river area of responsibility. Earlier, Radio Romania, citing a message from the headquarters of the Romanian Navy, reported that the large-scale military exercise SeaShield 2023 with the participation of over 3,000 military personnel from 12 countries and more than 30 ships will be held in the country.
