The material says that in addition to Romania, 12 NATO member states and their partners are taking part in the exercises: Great Britain, Greece, Bulgaria, Italy, Moldova, Georgia, Portugal, the Netherlands, Poland, the United States, France and Turkey.

At the same time, more than 2.2 thousand military personnel and 135 units of military equipment are involved in the maneuvers conducted by the Romanian Naval Forces - 27 sea and river ships, 17 aircraft and 91 vehicles and watercraft.

As Vice Admiral Mihai Panait, Chief of Staff of the Romanian Navy, said, the countries are going to practice operational procedures against submarines, on the water surface and against aviation in the Black Sea and in the river area of ​​responsibility.

Earlier, Radio Romania, citing a message from the headquarters of the Romanian Navy, reported that the large-scale military exercise Sea Shield 2023 with the participation of over 3,000 military personnel from 12 countries and more than 30 ships will be held in the country.
