It is noted that during the conversation "the issues of Russian-American cooperation in the implementation of the goals of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in relation to the 26th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC in Glasgow were raised."
"It was agreed to continue intensive bilateral contacts on climate issues in the context of its discussion by the Presidents of Russia and the United States at the Geneva summit, with an emphasis on the need to build up Russian-American cooperation," the message says.
Earlier it was reported that Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov and US Ambassador John Sullivan had a meeting.
