The man wanted to cross the lane of the B477 around 3:22 a.m., the police said. He was hit by a car. The pedestrian died of serious injuries at the scene of the accident. The 27-year-old driver suffered a shock. The road was closed for about three hours. The police in Wetzlar asked for witness information to determine the course of the accident.

The car hit a concrete wall on the A659, got into the grass verge and hit a tree. Finally the car spun up and came to rest on the roof. The 36-year-old driver had to give a blood sample and his driver's license. The car was towed away.

A 28-year-old motorcyclist in the Limburg-Weilburg district was seriously injured in a collision with a car. As the police announced, the driver of the car wanted to turn left onto a country road. The collision then occurred because the 57-year-old woman overlooked the two-wheeler coming from the left and took her right of way. In the crash on Saturday in Beselich, the motorcyclist was so seriously injured that she had to be admitted to a clinic, it said. The police put the damage at around 9500 euros.
