47-year-old arrested at border crossing in Weil am Rhein, Baden-Württemberg. He is said to have been involved in heroin smuggling in 1998.
Since then he has been wanted by Turkey on an international manhunt. It is now being examined whether he will be extradited to Turkey. He was taken into custody on the orders of a magistrate on Friday night. He has been charged with drug possession and possession with intent to distribute in Germany.
