The heat wave of this weekend encompasses all of France.

A few lucky ones take advantage of it by the sea. On the fine sand of the Touquet beach, families enjoy a first post-confinement summer atmosphere.

"I am already vaccinated, so it also helps to see my father, even on the beach. We know that we are far from others so we do not risk much," says Marion, in the shade of a parasol .

"It allows you to forget, to rethink the life we ​​can have in the future. If it could continue like that, that would be good," she continues.

Ice cream vendors and restaurateurs expect a record season

Some walkers stop for a treat.

And on the seafront, what could be better than an ice cream?

"The classic of the summer is the Italian ice cream", launches Candice, the merchant who brings her touch of freshness.

In front of bars and restaurants, long queues have formed for a table on the terrace. "We are full tomorrow. If we are lucky enough to have good weather, we will have the best season of our lives because people need to let go", proclaims, all smiles, Gilbert, owner of a brasserie located rue Saint-Jean. "And if we remain vigilant on barrier gestures", concludes the restaurateur, perhaps we will be able to "spend a summer without Covid".
