Video: The first inhaled anti-coronavirus vaccine

China has developed the first inhaled vaccine against the emerging coronavirus (Covid-19), becoming the first vaccine in the world based on this technology.

And according to “Euronews”, the famous Chinese epidemiologist and vaccine developer, Chen Wei, said that the inhaled Corona vaccine developed by her team has been approved by the Chinese Food and Drug Administration, and is expected to be used in emergency cases.

She added during a meeting of the 2021 Pujiang Innovation Forum held in Shanghai recently, that the inhalable spray vaccine only needs one-fifth of the dose of the injectable vaccine, and does not need special packaging in packages.

Explaining that the aerosol vaccine provides in addition to the hormonal and cellular immunity that makes up the injectable vaccine, the inhaled vaccine can also create mucosal immunity.

And she continued: “If the vaccine is inhaled through aerosols, it can form mucosal immunity, and these three immunizations are considered the best protection provided by the vaccine against the emerging corona virus.”

On the other hand, the head of the Chinese company, Sinovac Biotech, Yin Weidong, announced in a statement to state television that China had approved the emergency use of the vaccine produced by the company to prevent the Corona virus for the age group from three to 17 years old.

He added that when the vaccine will be available to younger age groups depends on the health authorities preparing the vaccination strategies.

And phase one and two clinical trials of the vaccine showed that the vaccine stimulates the immune system in children as young as three through to 17-year-olds.
