It is noted that the Ambassador of Bulgaria Atanas Krystin was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry and handed him a note "announcing a persona nоn grata of an employee of the Bulgarian Embassy in Russia."
"This measure is a response to the unmotivated decision taken in April 2021 by the Bulgarian side to declare" persona nоn grata "a diplomat of the Russian Embassy in Sofia," the message says.
At the end of April it became known that the Bulgarian authorities had declared the assistant to the military attaché of the Russian embassy in Sofia persona non grata.
