This was reported by the press service of the lower house of parliament.

“Responsibility for participation in training at various foreign courses of undesirable organizations ... is proposed to be introduced both in the form of a fine from 300 thousand to 500 thousand rubles, and in the form of compulsory or forced labor, as well as in the form of imprisonment for a term of one up to four years, ”the statement says.

Such a punishment is introduced for persons who have already been subjected to administrative responsibility for such actions.

At the same time, the leaders of such NGOs can be punished with imprisonment for up to six years.

At the same time, it is possible to avoid responsibility in case of refusal of membership in an undesirable organization and active cooperation with the investigation.

At the end of 2020, the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia recognized the activities in the country of the NGO Association of Schools of Political Research under the Council of Europe and the Prague Center for Civil Society as undesirable.

In July last year, by decision of the department, seven foreign NGOs on the territory of Russia were declared undesirable.
