Delmenhorst (dpa / lni) - When used in a family dispute, the police in Delmenhorst shot a fighting dog.

As the police announced on Friday, the officers had actually been called on the previous evening to stop an argument between a father (52) and his daughter (21).

It was also said that there were two attack dogs in the house.

When the emergency services spoke to father and mother (54), a male pit bull stormed them.

The police officers said they could only repel the attack by killing the animal.

The second dog also ran up to the officers.

This time the police fled and one officer was slightly injured.

The house residents would have locked away the second dog afterwards.
