April 23, 2021 A dose of AstraZeneca or Pfizer vaccine reduces the risk of coronavirus infection by nearly two-thirds. This was found by a study by the University of Oxford in collaboration with the Office for National Statistics which analyzed the results of Covid tests of more than 350,000 people in the United Kingdom between December and April. The researchers found that 21 days after the first dose was given, the time it took for the immune system to react, coronavirus infections decreased by 65%.
