Hanover (dpa / lni) - Referee Bibiana Steinhaus from Hanover is scheduled as a video assistant for the Olympic soccer tournament in Tokyo.

However, as in Rio de Janeiro 2016, a German referee is not on the list published by the world association FIFA on Friday.

The 42-year-old Steinhaus ended her unique career as a match manager in the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga last September, but is still working as a video referee for the German Football Association.

The Hanoverian, like Munich's Felix Brych, whistled at the 2012 Games in London, at that time she even led the women's final between the USA and Japan (2-1).

For the Olympics in Tokyo, 39-year-old Katrin Rafalski from Bad Zwesten is the only German representative of the German referee guild as an assistant.
