The male and female athletes who have been selected to represent Japan in the marathon at this summer's Paris Olympics will hold a press conference afterwards. There are a total of six athletes representing the marathon, three men and three women.
The representative selection race was held last October at the MGC (Marathon Grand Championship), and the top two men and women were first selected. The remaining runners will be selected by those who exceed the set record in a race called the "Final Challenge" held by March of this year.
