FIFA announces Yoshimi Yamashita and three others to be referees for the Paris Olympics. The three have served as referees at many international tournaments, including the last Tokyo Games and last year's Women's World Cup.
Japan's women's team Nadeshiko Japan, which has already qualified, competing in the qualifying league against Spain. On the other hand, for the men's side, Japan's under-23 team will compete in the final Asian qualifying round to be held in Qatar this month.
