The US abolition was announced on Friday by Foreign Minister Antony Blinken.
Phakiso Mochochoko, who works for the ICC, can also assert the targeted sanctions.
Visa restrictions for certain ICC staff will also be removed.
The decision on sanctions against Bensouda came in connection with her investigation into whether American soldiers committed war crimes in Afghanistan.
"The decisions reflect our assessment that the measures were improper and ineffective," Blinken writes in the statement.
