Los Angeles (AP) - The separation of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan from the British royal family is to be filmed.

The US broadcaster Lifetime Television announced this on Facebook.

The feature film is supposed to be called "Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace" and completes a trilogy about the couple's story.

In 2018, the broadcaster “Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance” and a year later “Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal” produced films.

"Escaping the Palace" will, according to the press release, "reveal what really happened inside the palace, what drove Harry and Meghan to leave everything behind to create a future for themselves and their son Archie."

Different actors played the leading roles in the first two films.

According to the broadcaster, the film will be released in the fall.

Harry (36) and Meghan (39) had withdrawn from the British royal family last year ("Megxit").

Among other things, they complained of unfair reporting and attacks on their privacy from sections of the tabloid press.

The couple had only recently made serious allegations, including racism, against the royal family in a world-wide interview.

Harry and former actress Meghan now live in Santa Barbara, California, with their one-year-old son Archie.

The couple are expecting a baby girl in the summer.
