At least fifteen people were killed and more than 500 injured on Sunday (March 7th) in explosions due to "negligence", which devastated a military camp and surrounding neighborhoods in Equatorial Guinea, announced President Teodoro Obiang Nguema.

Four powerful blasts literally razed buildings in this camp in Bata, the economic capital, and countless houses around it.

It is "an accident due to the negligence of the unit in charge of storing explosives, dynamite and ammunition, the explosions of which killed 15 people and left more than 500 injured," said the head of state in a statement read on state television TVGE.
