Halle (dpa) - SV Union Halle-Neustadt can present its second newcomer for the coming season.

Simone Spur Petersen from Bundesliga competitor HSG Bensheim / Auerbach is moving to the city on the Saale.

The club confirmed this on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old Dane has a two-year contract that applies to both the first and second Bundesliga.

The Bundesliga team's management had previously signed Julia Niewiadomska (HSG Bensheim / Auerbach) for the coming season.

“Petersen was on our wish list two years ago.

She is exactly the type we were looking for.

A fast, dynamic player who has her qualities both in attack and defense, ”explained coach and sports director Jan Henning-Himborn.

Two other players from Denmark are currently under contract at SV Union: Helena Mikkelsen and Cecilie Woller.
