Halle (Saale) has a great nightlife culture and a broad university, says student Paulina Wieland. The Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg has several locations in the city.
Because everything is so spread out, each one never feels crowded, says the 20-year-old student. Halle no longer has to hide next to the neighboring city of Leipzig, says Wielands' friend. The city is also known for its beautiful old town streets and spaces for art and culture.
