Roth (dpa) - In the accident with a quad, a 17-year-old woman died on Wednesday.
According to the police in Middle Franconia, a 20-year-old and the young person drove on a dirt road between Finstermühle and Brunnau in the early evening.
The vehicle went off the track and overturned in the ditch.
The 20-year-old was slightly injured, the 17-year-old suffered such serious injuries in the fall that she died at the scene of the accident.
The cause of the accident was unclear in the evening, the public prosecutor asked for an expert to clarify.
The fire brigade helped illuminate the accident site about a kilometer in the forest.
Serious accidents are more common with quads.
As the ADAC writes on its website, quads have special driving characteristics that take some getting used to, especially for quad newbies.
Therefore, serious accidents often occur, especially with inexperienced drivers.
