In March last year, the roof of Tarfalahallen in Kiruna collapsed.

The Swedish Accident Investigation Board carried out an investigation and came to the conclusion that the cause of the landslide was the construction of the trusses.

-Early in this investigation, we identified that there was instability in this type of construction.

We contacted all municipalities and pointed out this risk that we see with the construction that our experts at Lund University of Technology identified, says Tomas Ojala, investigator at the Swedish Accident Investigation Board.

In the county, there are halls with the same construction in six municipalities, Umeå, Skellefteå, Lycksele, Åsele, Vindeln and Storuman, something that SR Västerbotten was the first to tell. According to the Swedish Accident Investigation Board, the risk of landslides is so great that the commission warned the municipalities to keep an eye on their halls.
