US Justice Department investigates Boeing 737 near-accident. Part of the cabin wall of a brand-new Boeing 737 Max 9 was torn out shortly after takeoff in January.

The affected airline, Alaska Airlines, said on Saturday that it was cooperating with the investigation and did not believe it was being targeted. The investigation is also likely to be about whether Boeing is adhering to the terms of a settlement that settled the investigation after two crashes of 737 Max aircraft. 346 people died in the accidents involving Indonesian Lion Air and Ethiopian Airlines planes.
