Friedrichshafen (dpa / lsw) - A 22-year-old driver was chasing the police in Friedrichshafen on Thursday morning and was seriously injured.

A police spokesman reported that the man tried to escape a patrol in the Fischbach district without lights and at high speed.

The 22-year-old came off the road in a curve and crashed his car into a concrete wall.

The young man, who was not wearing a seat belt, was seriously injured and was admitted to hospital. The officers found several grams of hashish in his vehicle. He also hid over 50 grams of amphetamine in his underpants. Since there is an urgent suspicion of being under the influence of drugs at the wheel, the public prosecutor's office ordered a blood sample.
