Head-on collision on Ibaraki national highway kills two people in their 90s in a day service shuttle. Two people riding in the van in the accident, Kazuko Yasujima (91) from Mito City and Miyoko Fujisaki (98) from Ushiku City, were both seriously injured and were pronounced dead at a hospital.
Police believe that a passenger car driven by a woman crossed the center line and collided, and are investigating the details of the situation.
