41-year-old woman dies in hospital after traffic accident in Berlin. Her child, four, was seriously injured and needed emergency surgery.
The woman's partner and sister were taken to hospital with shock. All four were in Berlin as tourists. An 83-year old man was at the wheel of the accident car. He was released from hospital after outpatient treatment and a blood sample. The exact cause of the crash is still being determined, police say. The fire department was on site with 48 emergency services.
