Hamburg (dpa / lno) - A fire broke out in a supermarket in the Hamburg district of Veddel on Monday night.
Shortly before midnight, the fire brigade was initially informed of a burning shopping trolley with garbage - on site it was found that a supernatant shopping trolley was burning and the flames spread to the entrance area of the building, the fire department announced on Monday morning.
Initially, the fire threatened to spread to a neighboring hotel - but neither the fire nor smoke had spread there.
Nobody was hurt.
The extinguishing work was finished after about two hours, "it was done very quickly," said a spokesman for the fire department.
The police were initially unable to provide any information on the amount of damage or the cause of the fire.
