Former IMF boss Dominique Strauss-Kahn announced to deliver "for the first time" his "version of the facts" on the sex scandal which led to his fall, in a documentary film on his life, to be released in the fall of 2021 .

The "DSK" affair is also at the heart of a documentary mini-series by Jalil Lespert, entitled "Room 2806", which is due to be posted on Netflix on Monday.

Several personalities testify, including the maid Nafissatou Diallo who accused him of rape at the Sofitel in New York nine years ago, reveals the trailer posted online Friday.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn had seen his career shattered on accusations of rape at the Sofitel.

The criminal proceedings were dropped in 2011 in this case following a financial transaction with the complainant.

Mr. Strauss-Kahn has also appeared and been cleared in a trial for procuring at the Carlton in Lille.

"I never gave my version of the facts that marked my withdrawal from political life, others took care of it for me, speaking from press clippings, interviews and real facts or supposed. Now is the time to speak up, "" DSK "wrote on social media Friday.

The film "currently in production", "retraces the events" which marked the life of this septuagenarian, one of the most powerful figures of the Socialist Party before his fall, one year before the 2012 presidential election when he was one of the candidates approached on the left.

Converted into consulting, "DSK" from time to time delivers its assessment of the international economic situation, and also wants to share in this film its "concerns and (its) proposals on the difficult future that awaits us".

The American Abel Ferrara was already inspired by the DSK affair, with "Welcome to New York".

The film with Gérard Depardieu in the lead role hit the headlines when it premiered at Cannes in May 2014, in a neighborhood cinema, before being released in France directly on VOD.
