The following decisions on the situation with the spread of coronavirus in Moscow can be taken in two to three weeks.

Mayor of the capital Sergei Sobyanin spoke about this at the forum "Strong Ideas for the New Time".

He clarified that decisions will be made on the basis of the situation, but added that they should be minimally concerned with restrictions on the economy and business.

The mayor expressed the opinion that a difficult situation with COVID-19 awaits Moscow in the coming weeks, explaining that the pandemic will fall for the first time in the autumn-winter period, in connection with which it is necessary to calculate the possibilities of healthcare.

The current volume of COVID-19 disease in the city is almost the same as in the spring, the mayor said, while the city health system at this level "is more or less calmly coping with it."

“And if we introduce restrictions today, then we introduce them in advance, we predict what will happen in a week, in two, in three, in order to ensure the stable work of healthcare, but not to overdo it,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

At the same time, Sobyanin drew attention to the fact that hard lockdowns do not help European countries and the United States to stop the growth of morbidity and hospitalizations.

At the same time, he expressed confidence that in a few months it will be possible to get out of the peak of the pandemic, recalling, in particular, the start of industrial production of vaccines against COVID-19.

In addition, there is a natural immunization of the population, which, according to Sobyanin, has already affected millions of people.

“Now we understand that this autumn-spring story is likely to be the last of the critical ones,” he stressed.

At the same time, this year the Moscow authorities decided to prohibit the holding of mass events during the New Year holidays, Sobyanin said.

“In order not to mislead anyone,” so that business is not wasted, the organizers did not spend on these events, and then they will say that we will cancel everything, ”he explained on the air of Channel One.

Commenting on the fight against coronavirus, Sobyanin added that there is almost 50% of the safety factor in the "covid" hospitals in the capital.

“Moreover, the volume of planned, emergency care is not less, and even slightly more than in previous years for similar months, the same applies to the work of clinics, doctors, outpatient treatment,” - said the mayor.

He also said that the decision to introduce additional restrictive measures from November 13 was made after consultations with the federal operational headquarters and Rospotrebnadzor.

Coronavirus vaccine

Meanwhile, the Russian Direct Investment Fund reported that according to the interim results of the third phase of trials, the effectiveness of the Sputnik V vaccine was 92%.

Experts have evaluated the effect of the drug on 16 thousand people who received an injection of the vaccine or placebo twice with a difference of 21 days.

The fund clarified that there were no side effects in the subjects, except for minor cases of fever and headache.

Head of the Center.

Gamaleya, who developed the vaccine, Alexander Gintsburg noted that the publication of the interim results of the study makes it possible to start mass vaccination of Russians in the coming weeks.

At the same time, the head of the Ministry of Health, Mikhail Murashko, announced the launch of mass production of Sputnik V, noting that the drug began to spread across the regions.

In turn, the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev emphasized that the development of vaccines against coronavirus should remain out of politics.

He recalled that the vaccine was created on the basis of a safe and effective platform of human adenoviral vectors, noting the desire of many countries "to include such drugs in their national portfolio as the most tested and studied."

“I would like to emphasize the importance of international interaction and close cooperation between vaccine developers from different countries.

Vaccines should be out of politics - the world needs a diversified portfolio of quality drugs, ”he stressed.

A similar point of view was expressed in an interview with RT by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siyarto.

He said that he was constantly participating in negotiations with the Minister of Health of Russia Mikhail Murashko and the Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov on the purchase of Russian vaccines by Hungary.

“If in some case it is necessary to put aside the political aspects, then just in this ... It seems to us quite possible to start limited purchases in December for conducting the necessary clinical trials and checks in Hungary, and from the second half of January we can count on a larger purchase from Russia, ”he said.

The Minister welcomed the publication of interim data on the effectiveness of "Sputnik V", and added that Hungary is discussing with the Russian side not only the purchase of the vaccine, but also the possibility of partial transfer of production to Hungary.

“Sometimes it seems to me that the issue of vaccines is overly politicized, I think this should be avoided.

Again, we look forward to the success of all companies and countries that are developing vaccines, no matter who they are.

We are interested in the success of American, European, Russian, Chinese, Israeli vaccine research and development.

Because the more vaccines we have, the better, ”concluded Siyarto.
