The port of Eilat is the main gateway for car imports to Israel. Not a single car was unloaded in the period from January to February.

The port is one of the first to be affected by the Yemeni Houthi group's attack on the Red Sea. The disruption is expected to affect the car market for the next few months. The number of cars imported to Israel has fallen by 26.7% in the same period. The reduction in car imports is due to the lack of orders for new cars.
