The Uppsala Region states that there is a limited number of cars and appeals to those who can go to the sampling to do so - as the new medical travel model is for those who are most in need of it.

- This is a solution that is aimed at the most needy, says Mikael Köhler, Health and Medical Director of Uppsala Region.

The sickness travel fee is SEK 250 round trip.

Sick leave exemption card applies.

- You should definitely not go by public transport if you are ill. We therefore urge everyone who can to get to the sampling stations in another way, by car, on foot or by bicycle. But we know that not everyone has that opportunity and therefore ambulance travel is now a last resort. The distance should not have to be an obstacle for those who are ill and need to come for sampling.
