As noted, the diplomats called on the parties to immediately resume meaningful negotiations under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs.

Speaking about Belarus, Borrell and Pompeo called on Minsk to start a dialogue with the opposition and reaffirmed respect for the country's sovereignty and independence.

Earlier, Pompeo, at meetings with the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia, Jeyhun Bayramov and Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, declared the need to end the violence.
