England, at ten for an hour, lost to Denmark (0-1), Wednesday at Wembley, for the 4th day of group A2 of the Nations League.

With this defeat, the selection with the three lions is only third in its group with 7 points, ahead of the goal difference by their evening opponents and by two points by Belgium, who went to beat Icelanders in Reykjavik. (1-2), who still haven't scored a single point.

Over the entire match, Gareth Southgate's men did not deserve to be beaten but the first period and especially the deserved expulsion, she, a Harry Maguire totally out of the shot, was expensive.

The Manchester United center-back, caught this summer in a case of violence against Greek police officers while on vacation in Mykonos, confirms his disastrous start to the season.

From the 5th minute, he was guilty of a tackle from behind as useless as violent on Yussuf Poulsen, far from goals and off center, which had earned him an already dark yellow.

And at the half-hour mark, after missing an easy control, he tried to catch up by throwing himself to push the ball but in the process grabbing Kasper Dolberg's ankle for a second yellow just as dark as the first.

Bad news accumulated for the English with a very difficult penalty awarded a few minutes later and transformed by Christian Eriksen (1-0, 35th).

In the second half, England largely dominated the Danes who played against, and Mason Mount should have equalized with a header from a corner without an incredibly firm hand from Leicester's goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel (66th).

But if playing a period against Belgium was enough (2-1), Denmark came to remind the English that at a high level you have to be present for 90 minutes.

Third in the first edition of this League of Nations, England will have to seek in Belgium and at home against Iceland its place in the last four in November.
