Putin instructed to create a commission of the Security Council of Russia to protect against new infections

"To form an interdepartmental commission of the Security Council of the Russian Federation on the creation of a national system of protection against new infections," the document says.

According to the decree, the commission will be headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council, who is currently Dmitry Medvedev.

In early September, Putin noted that the COVID-19 pandemic showed that Russia is a country with pronounced new technological capabilities, and not a "gas station" country.
