“As part of monitoring compliance with antimonopoly legislation, the FAS has already sent inquiries to pharmaceutical manufacturers on the validity of the wholesale price for the drug Areplivir (international non-proprietary name Favipiravir),” the department noted.

Earlier, the general director of the Promomed company, Andrey Mladentsev, said that the recommended retail price for Areplivir is 12 320 rubles.

He also added that one package of the Russian medicine for coronavirus will contain 40 tablets of 200 mg each.

The drug is available by prescription.
