The Special Assize Court of Paris heard this Monday, September 14, the testimony of the family of the 12th and last victim of the Charlie Hebdo massacre: the peacekeeper Ahmed Merabet, whom the Kouachi brothers had killed while he was on the ground.

The scene, filmed by a local resident, had traveled around the world.

Then later, another of the smiling young man, in the midst of his family who insisted that these images be projected.

At the helm, his three sisters - his brothers did not have the strength to come - and his partner, Morgane.

With the video of his assassination, "

the whole world remembers Ahmed as a man on the ground, but I refuse,

 " she said.

Before describing him as “

ambitious, generous

 ”.

He had become the pillar of the clan since his father's death in 1995.

Her death "

shattered our family,

 " says her older sister.

It is an "

open wound

" which does not manage to heal despite the sessions of shrink and the drugs for some.

This pain is constantly rekindled by the broadcast on television of images of the execution of Ahmed Merabet.

“

We try to move forward, but every year at the same time, it's the same thing

: we watch this video again and we hear his voice.

It's inhuman,

explains one of her sisters.

I am very angry with whoever shared this video on social media.

I also blame the media

 ”.

She implores: "

That we stop showing him being murdered."

May he rest in peace

 ”.
