New measures against Covid-19: what to expect in Bordeaux, Marseille and Guadeloupe?

For funerals, he wants to limit gatherings to a maximum of 20 people.

"We will see what the prefect will propose to the Prime Minister. This is my proposal to the prefect. I think that these are strict, firm measures, but of common sense," he judged on RTL.

In Bordeaux

In Gironde, it's still the suspense.

The nursing homes could be the first concerned, with possible new restrictions for residents.

Little affected by the coronavirus during the first wave, the Gironde is now one of the departments where the virus is most active.

The prefects have a framework of action defined by law.

They can thus limit travel within a radius of 100 kilometers, completely or partially close bars, restaurants, libraries, gymnasiums or even museums, or even ban markets.

These measurements can be very precise but also very restrictive.

In Guadeloupe

In Guadeloupe, the prefect has already announced new measures: closing of bars and restaurants at 10 p.m. on weekdays and at midnight on weekends, closing of meeting places such as gymnasiums, swimming pools, exhibition halls and even party rooms.

"The practice of sport is possible, the matches can be held but behind closed doors", announced the prefect Alexandre Rochatte.

These measures will last "until September 29 inclusive," he also said.

In Guadeloupe, nearly 800 positive cases for the coronavirus have been identified in one week.

As in Marseille and Bordeaux, an "action plan" will also be present on Monday and other measures will be taken.
