Estonian Ott Tänak (Hyundai), in the lead since the morning, retains the reins of Rally Estonia, 4th round of the World Championship (WRC) and the first since mid-March following the coronavirus crisis, after the 1st day Saturday.

He is ahead of his Irish team-mate Craig Breen by 11 sec 7/10 and Frenchman Sébastien Ogier (Toyota), leader of the drivers' standings, by 28 sec 7/10.

Note also the retirement at the beginning of the afternoon and for the day of the Belgian Thierry Neuville (Hyundai), who broke his right rear wheel during SS7.
