Representatives of the Belarusian opposition announced the creation of a political party "Together".

“I, Maria Kolesnikova, and members of Viktor Babariko’s headquarters today announce the creation of the political party“ Together ”... In the near future, registration documents will be submitted.

We will unite and will be even stronger, ”said Kolesnikova in a video message on Babariko's YouTube channel.

According to her, a “new, conscientious and responsible Belarusian society” is being formed in Belarus, facing new challenges and requests, and it is necessary to respond to them.

“The country is in a political and socio-economic crisis, and together we know how to get out of this crisis.

Hundreds and thousands of Belarusians, talented professionals, are ready to take responsibility and build a new Belarus together, ”she explained.

In turn, Viktor Babariko said that a political party is necessary for further struggle, the main goal of which is to carry out constitutional reform.

“We believe that the truth will triumph anyway and Belarus will be a prosperous country, regardless of the fact that we temporarily fail to do this as the leaders of this country,” he stressed.

Let us remind you that Babariko was detained on June 18 on suspicion of organizing illegal activities at Belgazprombank, which he headed for 20 years, and is currently being held in a pre-trial detention center.

When the video was made with the oppositionist's speech, it is not specified.

Earlier in Belarus, the former presidential candidate Svetlana Tikhanovskaya created a coordination council "to ensure the transfer of power."

This was done after the Central Election Commission of Belarus announced the results of the presidential elections, according to which 80.10% of voters voted for Alexander Lukashenko, 10.12% supported Svetlana Tikhanovskaya.

The presidium of the opposition body, in particular, included Maria Kolesnikova, Nobel Prize laureate in literature Svetlana Aleksievich, chairman of the human rights center "Viasna" Ales Bialiatski.

Currently, more than 4 thousand people are included in the expanded composition of the coordination council, about 10 thousand more applications have not been processed yet.

“Today the issue of creating a public movement on the basis of a coordinating council has matured.

The question of the legitimacy of the coordinating council as an institution is often raised.

Probably, we should already start thinking about creating a public movement, properly formed, registered, which could include representatives of various strata of society, social groups, ”said Pavel Latushko, a member of the council's presidium on August 31.

In turn, the Prosecutor General's Office of Belarus opened a criminal case on the seizure of power, while the State Secretary of the country's Security Council Andrei Ravkov compared the current processes in the republic with the August 1991 coup.

According to Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin, there is also interference in the internal affairs of the state.

As for possible changes in the Constitution of Belarus, on the eve of Alexander Lukashenko, during a working meeting with the head of the Supreme Court of the republic, Valentin Sukalo, indicated that the country does not plan to return to the basic law of Belarus as amended from 1994.

“A return, as some say, to the 1994 constitution - we have not just gone through or lived it, but absorbed it.

We saw what was happening then.

Going back is probably not a movement.

This is a change, but it is not a movement forward, ”the head of state said.

The Belarusian leader also spoke in favor of the need to build a system that would not be tied to the personality of the president of the republic.

“I believe that despite the fact that we have a somewhat authoritarian system for organizing public life, the president nevertheless protects and protects the courts.

But this is a personal aspect, and we need to make sure that the system works, which is not tied to a person, including Lukashenka.

Therefore, I think that in the new constitution we will adequately reflect the system of the organization of our courts, based on our experience with you over the past quarter century.

But responsibly: submit an offer - sign for this offer, ”Lukashenka stressed.

As the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov pointed out, Moscow did not receive any requests from Minsk to share its experience in updating the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

“As far as I know, there have been no appeals from the Belarusian side, and Russia in this case does not want and cannot impose any services without appropriate appeals from Belarusian colleagues and allies," Peskov noted.

From June 25 to July 1, citizens of the Russian Federation were asked to answer one question: "Do you approve of the amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation?"

The participant could put a “yes” or “no” mark in the ballot.

In total, 74.2 million (67.97%) of the 109.19 million people eligible to vote came to polling stations.

Of these, 57.7 million (77.92%) supported the amendments to the basic law.
