Venezuelan presidential election: Prominent opposition candidate unable to participate, voices of concern. In Venezuela, a South American country where the dictatorship of an anti-American leftist regime continues, a presidential election is scheduled for July 28th this year.

Candidates for the election were accepted on the 26th, and according to Venezuelan election authorities, 13 people, including incumbent President Maduro, submitted their applications. On the other hand, the opposition party had planned to field a former lawmaker who advocated economic liberalization as a unified candidate.
