National Health Commission: All 9 newly confirmed cases on August 29 were imported from abroad

According to the website of the National Health Commission, 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 9 new confirmed cases from 0-24 on August 29, all imported from abroad. Cases (3 in Shanghai, 2 in Fujian, 2 in Sichuan, 1 in Tianjin, and 1 in Guangdong); no new deaths; no new suspected cases.

　　On the same day, 27 new cases were cured and discharged, and 1,559 close contacts were released from medical observation. The severe cases were the same as the previous day.

　　There are 182 confirmed cases imported from abroad (including 4 severe cases), and there are no existing suspected cases. A total of 2,482 confirmed cases, 2,300 cured and discharged cases, and no deaths.

　　As of 24:00 on August 29, according to reports from 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, there are 244 confirmed cases (including 4 severe cases), 80,153 cured and discharged cases, and 4,634 deaths. A total of 85031 confirmed cases have been reported, and there are no existing suspected cases. A total of 814,635 close contacts have been traced, and 7,787 close contacts are still under medical observation.

　　31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 4 new cases of asymptomatic infections (all imported from abroad); no confirmed cases were converted to confirmed cases on the same day; 17 cases were released from medical observation on the same day (10 imported from overseas); 338 cases of asymptomatic infections were under medical observation (305 cases imported from abroad).

　　A total of 5320 confirmed cases have been notified from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Among them, there were 4786 cases in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (4287 discharged cases and 87 deaths), 46 cases in Macau Special Administrative Region (46 discharged cases), and 488 cases in Taiwan (462 discharged cases and 7 death cases).
